Join us on Sunday, December 4th for one of two public performances on our 2022 Flute Ensemble Holiday Tour! Flutists from Flute Choir, Flute Orchestra, Youth Symphony and Philharmonia are combining to form a 50 flute ensemble that will filling the Eastside with holiday cheer!

BYSO’s Fall Quarter Rehearsals begin tonight! Make sure you visit your ensemble page to double check rehearsal locations and times. And pay special attention to what student musicians should bring to rehearsal.

For those of you who were unable to attend the Parents Meeting on Monday, September 19, please click HERE to view our webinar version. This webinar version will give you a nice overview of wha to expect at BYSO this year, including information on Rehearsals, Retreats, Concerts, Policies and Best Practices. At the end of Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra’s 2022-2023 season, Dr. Teresa Metzger Howe will retire from her role as Music Director and Youth Symphony Conductor. Dr. Metzger Howe joined our conducting team in 2001 and assumed the role of Music Director in 2005. Click here to read the full announcement.

BYSO’s 2022/23 Season auditions are now closed. Thank you to all of you submitted an audition over the past week. We will begin adjudications soon and results will be emailed out by September 16th! If you have any questions please email auditions@byso.org

BYSO is bringing back our annual Parent Meeting this year! Mark your calendars for Monday, September 19, from 6:30pm – 8:15pm. This is your chance to meet your student’s conductor, learn more about their year with BYSO, hear from our administrative team, and converse and build connections with our community of parents. There will be refreshments hosted by the Board of Directors after the meeting has concluded. This is the PERFECT way to start your family’s academic year with BYSO and it will take place at Overlake Christian Church. More information will be included in your student’s enrollment email.
