Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra is committed to sharing good music with all people. We teach our students to give back to our communities by presenting concerts and performances in places not usually associated with classical music. Our outreach performances are free to all and no tickets are required to attend.
Every 4th of July since 2012, the Bellevue Downtown Association has invited us to perform during and after the fireworks show at the Bellevue Family 4th celebration in Bellevue Downtown Park. This performance appreciated each year by approximately 65,000 people.
We frequently present ensemble performances at Crossroads Mall in Bellevue, especially around the winter holidays.
Each May we present the Garden Party Community Concert at Bellevue Botanical Garden. This special event features chamber performances from students across our organization in a beautiful setting.
BYSO groups have also given outreach performances for:
- Aegis Living Newcastle and Mercer Island
- Bellevue Crossroads
- Seattle Housing Authority Emergency Housing
- The Queen Anne Helpline Benefit
- A 98.1 KING-FM listener party at Factoria Mall
- Youth Eastside Services (YES)
