BYSO students, staff, and alumni are invited to submit a video performance to be featured in BYSO’s Virtual Garden Party. Selected videos will be published on our YouTube channel and website, and others may be shared on our social media channels. Last year our Garden Party videos had over 7000 views!
Video Guidelines
- Email Kevin Vortmann and Natalie Ham at admin@byso.org with your name and the full title of your piece and composer.
- Maximum length is 5 minutes. If you have a longer piece, let us know ahead of time.
- Video submissions are being accepted now through April 22, 2022. The earlier we receive your video, the higher likelihood of being featured.
- Please use landscape camera view.
- Side and front lighting are best. Do not film with your back to a bright window, in super bright light, or outdoors.
- Please wear concert attire; we are looking for a more formal/professional setting that reflects the live Garden Party feel. Feel free to setup a garden scene around you too!
- Phone recordings are fine, but better quality recordings especially welcome.
- Introduction for Video – Please look at the camera and include the following in your intro:
- Name
- Why You Love BYSO
- The Name of Your Piece
- “Thank you for supporting BYSO”
- Once you email admin@byso.org, we will send you a Dropbox link to upload your video.
- And most importantly, HAVE FUN!
