The BYSO staff would like to express our tremendous gratitude for our students, families, and community beyond! We are so thankful for the opportunity to meet, work alongside, and make music with such an excellent community. Thank you immensely for your continued support and dedication to our brilliant young musicians.

Coming up:

This Monday, December 2 will be the last rehearsal for the year.

On Saturday, December 7 our Flute Orchestra and Flute Choir musicians will go on tour, performing holiday favorites in public spaces around the Bellevue area.

On Sunday, December 8 all ensembles will perform at BYSO’s Holiday Concert Series at Interlake High School. We recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time. We are still looking for volunteers. Festive attire is encouraged.

Rehearsals will continue again in the New Year on Monday, January 6, 2020.

Registration for Winter Auditions is now open.  Each ensemble is auditioning only for specific instruments. There are no spaces for new violins at this time.  Winter Audition Information

Our Dec. 8 Holiday Concerts are in need of several more helping hands. A range of positions are available including green room monitors, ticket sales assistants, and point people. Please sign up on our Volunteer Calendar. Remember volunteers get first seating at the concerts.

We are also looking for help on Dec. 16 for BYSO’s Winter Auditions. This is a perfect opportunity for high school students to get volunteer hours. The auditions will be held after school at Interlake High School. Sign up on our Volunteer Calendar.

Our Fall Masterworks, Showcase, Highlight, and Overture concerts were professionally recorded. To order a copy in either DVD or digital download format, visit the BYSO Shop. Order deadline: Monday, Nov. 18. No orders after Monday will be accepted.

In observance of Veteran’s Day, there are no rehearsals this Monday, Nov. 11. Rehearsals will resume Monday, Nov. 18.

For those that expected to pick up their season ticket packages at the concerts but were unable due to our error, please contact Brook directly at admin@byso.org. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience.

Congratulations to all the musicians and music staff for such incredible performances this weekend! Also, a big thank you to our exceptional volunteers for making the concerts run so smoothly. BYSO’s Fall Concert series was a huge success!

There will be no rehearsal this Monday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veteran’s Day. Next rehearsal will be on Monday, Nov. 18.

Remember to place your concert video orders by Monday, Nov. 18.

 

The Sinfonia and Premiere Orchestra concert on Monday November 4 will now be held at Newport High School, 4333 Factoria Blvd SE, Bellevue.  The concert begins at 7:00 pm.

All purchased season ticket packages and apparel orders will be available to pick up in the lobby before each concert this weekend.

BYSO’s first concerts of the season are about one week away. Tickets will be available at the door for each concert or you can purchase tickets ahead of time through Brown Paper Tickets (links provided below). For BYSO’s full concert schedule, visit the Concert Calendar.
