Trudi Jackson is a Seattle native who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vassar College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She worked in marketing computer and networking systems in California, Sweden, and Washington. She has been active with the Bellevue Schools Foundation for the last twelve years, and also serves on the Bellevue Arts Commission. She is familiar with the on-the-go life of a BYSO parent, having raised two daughters who between them studied piano, organ, saxophone, cello, and voice. Ms. Jackson herself studied harp as a teenager.

Spring Auditions Feb 18–25

On-line Auditions for our Spring Quarter are Feb 18–25. Spring auditions are specifically for musicians that did not audition in Fall or Winter.

UPDATE: Due to COVID safety concerns, BYSO is unable to guarantee placement into ensembles at Spring Auditions the year. All submitted auditions will be adjudicated and feedback will be available to all those who audition.If a student qualifies for placement at BYSO, they will be added to a waiting list and we will offer enrollment from this list as space allows.  For more information please email info@byso.org.

Virtual Rehearsals 1/10/2022

Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in Washington State, along with multiple inquiries and absence reports from BYSO families with concern regarding the Omicron variant, we have made the decision to host virtual rehearsals on Monday, January 10th for all BYSO ensembles. Premiere, Sinfonia and Percussion Retreat 10/16/21

We will be hosting our Premiere, Sinfonia and Percussion retreats this coming Saturday, October 16th at Lake Washington High School.  As a reminder this is not in place of a Monday-night rehearsal but additional time to rehearse as a group as well as with professional musicians in sectionals.  Check your ensemble page for more details.
