Registration for summer camp is officially open! Every July, BYSO holds three week-long summer camp sessions that range from beginner level to advanced. Camps are a rewarding experience filled with intensive practice and learning, along with some summer fun.

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day and the extra love that is in the air, we would like to share our appreciation to all the BYSO musicians, parents, music staff, and the community beyond. A jacket and shoulder rest were left behind from Premiere’s rehearsal last night. Another quality jacket might have been left from last weekend’s retreat.
There is a variety of other lost items in the office including folders, cello stops, and music stands.

For new BYSO families and those who did not order in the fall, we are offering half-price season tickets and another opportunity to order BYSO’s 2018-19 sweatshirts.
Half-price season tickets are an exceptional deal. Adults – $25 and Youth/Senior/BYSO Alumni – $15. For more information and to order, visit Season Tickets. Order deadline is Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Retreats for Youth Symphony, Philharmonia, & Flute Ensembles will be held this Saturday, Jan. 12 at Odle Middle School. Times vary according to ensemble: Youth 11 am – 4 pm, Philharmonia 9 am – 2 pm, Flute Choir 9 am – 1:30 pm, Flute Orchestra 11 am – 2:30 pm.
Bring your music, music stand, and a pencil. BYSO will provide pizza for lunch.

Happy New Year and welcome back BYSO musicians! Regular rehearsals begin tonight. Times and locations are just as they were last quarter. Details can be found on the calendar.
The BYSO office will be closed from Friday, Dec. 21 to Friday, Jan. 4. Regular hours will resume on Monday, Jan. 7. If you need to get a hold of the office, leave a voice message or send an email to info@byso.org. Office staff will respond as soon as they can, but it may not be until the first week of January.

All apparel and fall concert video orders have been shipped. You should receive them by the end of next week. Those who ordered the fall concert video as a digital download will receive a link soon. The link will be sent by admin@byso.org and will be sent to your household email, unless otherwise noted on your order form. Keep an eye out for this link, it may even end up in your junk mail!
