Congratulations Musicians
Congratulations to all musicians for your incredible performances this weekend! Despite the snow days and winter break, your hard work and dedication really showed at the concerts. Well done! Photos from the concerts will be posted intermittently within the next few weeks on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Parents, make sure to order your concert DVDs through the BYSO shop by April 1.
See you at the next rehearsal, Monday, March 18!
Daylight Savings this Sunday
Remember daylight savings is this Sunday. Set your clocks one hour forward on Saturday night to ensure accurate arrival time to Sunday’s concerts!
Tuition Raffle at Concerts
BYSO’s second annual Tuition Raffle has officially begun! This year, we are excited to announce that two lucky participants will win free tuition next year for their student. To enter, purchase $10 raffle tickets at the Winter Concerts this weekend or at the BYSO office during regular business hours. Cash is preferred, so come prepared!
By purchasing a raffle ticket (or several!) not only do you have the chance to win, but you are also showing your support of BYSO. All proceeds benefit BYSO’s scholarships and program services in order to keep making musical experiences affordable to all youth.
We are also looking for volunteers to help sell raffle tickets at the Winter Showcase and Masterworks Concerts this Sunday, March 10. All volunteers get first choice in seating at the concert. Visit our volunteer calendar to sign up.

Crossroads Bellevue Chamber Concert
This Sunday, March 3 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, four BYSO ensembles will perform a free concert at Crossroads Bellevue! An impressive program is planned featuring our Sinfonia Wind Quintet, Sinfonia String Quartet, Youth Symphony Wind Quintet, and Youth Symphony String Quartet. Bring your friends and family – all are welcome!
Musicians: Call time is 3:00 pm. Check with your conductors/coaches for details.
Volunteers Needed for Raffle
At the March 10 & 11 Winter Concerts, BYSO will hold a raffle in which two participants will win free BYSO tuition for next year! To make sure this raffle runs smoothly, we need the willing hands of several volunteers. Please sign up on our volunteer calendar. As a volunteer, you will get first choice in seating at the concerts. Thanks in advance!
To learn more about the raffle, visit our Tuition Raffle page or contact info@byso.org with any questions.
Register for Summer Camp
Registration for summer camp is officially open! Every July, BYSO holds three week-long summer camp sessions that range from beginner level to advanced. Camps are a rewarding experience filled with intensive practice and learning, along with some summer fun.
All camp details and registration can be found on our summer camps page.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day and the extra love that is in the air, we would like to share our appreciation to all the BYSO musicians, parents, music staff, and the community beyond. Your dedication and support of youth in music is truly inspiring. As Shakespeare has written, “If music be the food of love, play on…”!
Tech Volunteers Needed
Are you a Windows, Workgroup or Salesforce guru? The BYSO office is seeking a group of knowledgeable volunteers to help us with our hardware and software maintenance and planning. Times will be flexible. Call or email Trudi Jackson at 425.467.5604 or info@byso.org for more information.
Lost & Found Items
A jacket and shoulder rest were left behind from Premiere’s rehearsal last night. Another quality jacket might have been left from last weekend’s retreat.
There is a variety of other lost items in the office including folders, cello stops, and music stands.
Please contact us at info@byso.org or come by the office to take home your lost possessions.
