We were blown away by the concerts this weekend. BYSO musicians took us on a listening adventure- from lively classical pieces to emotional African American spirituals. Your hard work and talent really are inspiring! Thank you to the music staff for being the best music staff around, the office staff, the Board, and our very willing volunteers. Also a big thank you to our season sponsor, Art of Problem Solving Academy. We cannot wait to get into the holiday season and celebrate our next concert on Dec. 2!

All Season ticket orders will be available for pick-up before the concerts this weekend at a table in the Meydenbauer lobby.
Four free tickets to the outstanding Taiwan Philharmonic’s concert on Nov. 3, 7:30 PM at Meany Hall are available. The program will include works by Brahms and Gordon Chin, and acclaimed pianist Stephen Hough will perform in Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1. Retreats for Premiere and Sinfonia will be held this Saturday, Oct. 13 at Odle Middle School. Times vary according to ensemble: Premiere 9 am-2 pm, Sinfonia 11 am-4 pm.

BYSO needs a part-time production assistant to help set-up, take-down, and other logistics of concerts and other events. The job entails mostly evening and weekend work. Please check out this important position.

Several of our orchestras greatly need volunteers to help set up chairs before rehearsal and put them away after rehearsal. This usually takes about 15 minutes, but is critical for rehearsals to start on time. Volunteer shifts are now available on the volunteer calendar. You can sign up for one shift, or for an entire quarter.
