After a few Mondays off due to snow and the holiday, rehearsals will resume on Monday, January 27. Bellevue School District’s non-student day does not affect BYSO’s rehearsal. See you then!

Sponsor the Eastside’s brilliant young musicians at BYSO’s annual Growing Musicians Garden Party fundraiser event. Taking place on May 9, 2020, about 50 BYSO students will be performing throughout the beautiful Bellevue Botanical Garden for this public event which over 300 people in the local area are expected to attend. BYSO will provide complimentary refreshments and hold activities, including a Cupcake Raffle, in the Education Center.

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, there will be no rehearsal on Monday, Jan. 20. Make sure to practice and prepare for your next rehearsal on Monday, Jan. 27.

All Bellevue Schools are closed, so there will be no BYSO rehearsals today, January 13.

Retreats for Youth Symphony, Philharmonia, Flute Orchestra, and Flute Choir will be held this Saturday, Jan. 11 at Chinook Middle School. All students are expected to attend, as retreats offer intensive sectional work and seating auditions. Times vary according to ensemble: Youth Symphony 11 am-4 pm, Philharmonia 9 am-2 pm, Flute Choir 10 am-2 pm, Flute Orchestra 11:00 am-3:30 pm.

Students – bring your music stand, music, and a pencil. BYSO will provide a pizza lunch and light snack.

Welcome new and returning students to BYSO’s Winter Quarter! Rehearsals for the New Year begin tonight, Monday, Jan. 6. Check the calendar for rehearsal times and locations. Remember to bring your instrument, music folder, and a pencil to every rehearsal.

*Philharmonia Students – Rehearsals will now be at Stevenson Elementary School’s Cultural Center, or main atrium. Just enter through the main entrance. Bring a music stand, as well as your music folder, instrument, and a pencil.

The BYSO office will be closed December 23 through January 3. During that time, staff will be intermittently in the office. Regular hours will resume on Monday, January 6.

Rehearsals for the winter quarter will begin January 6.
