As of 3:00 p.m., all Bellevue Schools hosting our rehearsals are open for evening activities, so all rehearsals will go on as planned.

BYSO wants all our families to stay informed and safe.

King County has its first cases of novel coronavirus. The vast majority of the illnesses around the world are mild, with fever and cough. A much smaller percentage of cases are severe and involve pneumonia, particularly in elderly people and people with underlying medical conditions. BYSO will follow Bellevue School District policy regarding any possible closures or cancellations at their facilities.

Sunday’s concerts at Meydenbauer Center will go on as scheduled.

Philharmonia and Percussion Ensemble rehearsals will be at Interlake High School on Monday, February 24.

There will be no rehearsals on Monday, February 17 in honor of Presidents Day.

Half-season ticket orders are due tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 12. Half-season tickets save money and time at the box office. Families with multiple students in BYSO will receive tickets to all of their student’s concerts for one standard price. Visit the BYSO Shop.

We would appreciate more help setting up, breaking down, and passing out lunch this Saturday at the Cadet and Debut retreat. High school students are always encouraged to volunteer for school hours. Let us know you can help by signing up on our Volunteer Calendar. Thank you!

Retreats for Cadet and Debut will take place this Saturday, February 8 at Odle Middle School; Cadet 9 am – 12 pm, Debut 9 am – 1 pm. Check your conductor’s notes on your ensemble page for more information.

Please bring your music stand, music, and a pencil. BYSO will provide a light mid-morning snack and pizza lunch. Bring extra snacks if you anticipate a bigger appetite.

Philharmonia will rehearse at Interlake High School on February 3 due to a school function at Stevenson.

We are looking for volunteers to help set-up and break-down chairs at rehearsals on Monday nights. Every helping hand is very appreciated. Sign up for one Monday or several! Shifts are usually finished in less than 30 minutes. Sign up on our Volunteer Calendar. Thank you!
