BYSO is bringing back our annual Parent Meeting this year! Mark your calendars for Monday, September 19, from 6:30pm – 8:15pm. This is your chance to meet your student’s conductor, learn more about their year with BYSO, hear from our administrative team, and converse and build connections with our community of parents. There will be refreshments hosted by the Board of Directors after the meeting has concluded. This is the PERFECT way to start your family’s academic year with BYSO and it will take place at Overlake Christian Church. More information will be included in your student’s enrollment email.

Fall Auditions for BYSO will be virtual this year. Auditions will be open for submissions August 19th! Check out our audition pages to learn more about audition process, materials and timeline. More updates will be headed your way soon!

This summer, BYSO will celebrate our nation’s birthday in Bellevue Downtown Park with friends and neighbors at the Eastside’s largest 4th of July event! Enjoy free live music, children’s activities, food options/food trucks and family entertainment. The evening leads up to a spectacular fireworks show at 10:05 p.m. synchronized with a live performance by the BYSO! BYSO is presenting its Spring Concerts on May 21 & 22.

On May 21 at 2:00pm at the esteemed Benaroya Hall, our Youth Symphony, Philharmonia, Sinfonia, Premiere Orchestra, Flute Orchestra, Flute Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble will present a Masterworks Concert. This is a concert 4 years in the making!

Adults:              $30.00
Youth (4 – 18):  $20.00
Seniors (65+):  $20.00

On May 22 at 2:00pm at Bellevue’s Meydenbauer Center Theatre, our Cadet and Debut String Orchestras and Youth Symphony will present our annual Bookend Concert. Come experience the breadth of programming BYSO has to offer.

BYSO’s Seventh Annual Garden Party beings today and will run through May 15!  Make sure to visit our YouTube channel, social media pages, and website to catch all of the incredible performances. New videos will be released every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Share with your friends and family and please donate to support BYSO!

Online Auditions for our Spring Quarter are now open Feb 18–25. Spring auditions are specifically for musicians that did not audition in Fall or Winter. Visit the Audition Instructions Page to submit your audition.

UPDATE: Due to COVID safety concerns, BYSO is unable to guarantee placement into ensembles at Spring Auditions the year. All submitted auditions will be adjudicated and feedback will be available to all those who audition. If a student qualifies for placement at BYSO, they will be added to a waiting list and we will offer enrollment from this list as space allows.  For more information please email info@byso.org.
