In just one week, BYSO will begin to release new staff and student performances on YouTube every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through May 15 in celebration of BYSO’s Growing Musicians Virtual Garden Party. As tradition, this fundraiser is free for all to enjoy.

This year, we invite family members, friends, and friends of friends to RSVP using our online form. Each person that RSVP’s will be entered into a drawing – similar to a door prize – for a chance to win one of two prizes: a $100 Crossroads Mall gift card or a Beecher’s Cheese Wheel valued at $100.

Students are encouraged to invite their friends and family to RSVP. All students that are mentioned in the RSVP form will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a 3D printer!

This Garden Party supports BYSO’s programs and student scholarships. Find out how you can help the Garden Party succeed.

BYSO’s Spring Quarter begins tonight, March 22. For rehearsal information including times and Zoom links, visit your ensemble page (located under the Ensembles tab) and/or check for emails from your director. We look forward to another quarter of music making with you all!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! BYSO’s flute students, directed by Sandra Saathoff, prepared 3 traditional Irish tunes for today. Many just began playing the whistle too! Special thanks to Ron Haight for his audio-visual help, and to Kieran, Ming, Aki, Howard, and Sheryl for their Irish music expertise.

BYSO’s Spring Quarter begins Monday, March 22 and ends Monday, May 17. There will be no rehearsal April 12 during Bellevue School District’s spring break. Make sure that if you participated in the fall and/or winter, that you have paid the tuition. Unpaid tuition will affect student eligibility in the spring.

The Garden Party Starts Soon!

BYSO’s Garden Party, an annual spring fundraiser event featuring student and staff performances, kicks-off virtually on April 5. New performances will be posted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until the big grand finale on May 15, when a large showcase of back-to-back performances and speakers are released! All performances will be posted on YouTube and our website.

There are lots of ways to get involved and support the Garden Party including sponsorship and donation opportunities. Invite your friends and family and make an event out of it!

Tonight, March 8, is the last rehearsal of the quarter. Each ensemble has been working on new music and some have even collaborated with local composers and musicians. We look forward to seeing all their recording projects, which will be posted on YouTube when completed.

BYSO’s Spring Quarter begins March 22. Students will remain in their same ensemble. If your student wishes to switch ensembles, make sure to contact admin@byso.org by March 14.

See you at rehearsal tonight, Monday March 1. Winter Quarter ends March 8 and Spring Quarter begins March 22. All students will remain in their same ensemble unless otherwise communicated to our administration at admin@byso.org.

Make sure tuition has been paid for each quarter your student has participated in BYSO this season. Any outstanding balances will affect student eligibility in the spring. If you have any questions, contact admin@byso.org.
