This Saturday at Overlake Christian Church from 2:00pm – 4:00pm, BYSO will host a student-designed season kick-off event. All BYSO students are invited to join us in an afternoon full of fun games, activities, and icebreakers. And, of course, pizza! More information was emailed out to families in the newsletter.

Parents and guardians of all 2025-26 students are highly encouraged to attend BYSO’s annual parents’ meeting. This meeting will include a presentation fro BYSO’s administrative team, and the chance to meet your student’s conductor for the year. The Parents’ Meeting will take place from 6pm to 8pm at Overlake Christian Church in Redmond. More detailed information was sent out to BYSO families in the newsletter. We hope to see you there!

Enrollment emails have been sent to all students who auditioned or registered for our upcoming 2025-26 Season. This email includes your assigned ensemble, event and rehearsal information, and a link to pay tuition or request financial aid. Check the primary email address of your household for this email (this is usually the email of a parent/guardian) Don’t see it? Check your spam/junk folder first. If you still can’t find it, reach out to admin@byso.org and the office can resend it to you.

BYSO’s auditions for our 2025-26 Season are this week. If you registered for an audition, you should have received an email on May 29 that included your audition time and location. You will also receive an email the day before your audition with some helpful information. We can’t wait hear 1,000 talented students audition for our next academic season!

A huge congratulations to all of our students, conductors, assistant conductors, coaches, site managers, volunteers, and staff on a successful 2024-25 Academic Season! Our final regular season concerts were May 17-19 and all of our ensembles played beautifully and we were thrilled to celebrate so many annual award winners. and seniors We look forward to seeing everyone at auditions in a few short weeks!

We’re back from Spring Break and ready to make some music. All ensembles will resume rehearsals on April 14 & 15 at their usually weekly location and time. Only 5 rehearsals left!

There are no rehearsals on April 7 or 8. BYSO follows the Bellevue School District calendar and there is no school that week because of Spring Break! Rehearsals will resume on April 14 & 15. Enjoy the week off from BYSO!

BYSO’s Spring Quarter kicks off this week! Rehearsals for Cadet, Debut, Premiere, Sinfonia, Philharmonia, Youth, Flute Choir, Flute Orchestra, and Percussion begin on 3/24 and Intermezzo and Overture on 3/25. Let’s make some music!
