There will be no rehearsal this Monday, April 12. BYSO follows the Bellevue School District calendar and next week is spring break! Rehearsals will resume the following week, April 19.

Applications are now being accepted for BYSO’s Charlotte Field Memorial Scholarship. This $1000 college tuition scholarship was established in 2005 with funds from the Charlotte Field Memorial Trust to honor an outstanding graduate of BYSO.

All ensembles have rehearsal tonight, April 5. Make sure to check your Ensemble’s page (located under the Ensembles tab) and your email for potential information from your directors.

In just one week, BYSO will begin to release new staff and student performances on YouTube every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through May 15 in celebration of BYSO’s Growing Musicians Virtual Garden Party. As tradition, this fundraiser is free for all to enjoy.

This year, we invite family members, friends, and friends of friends to RSVP using our online form. Each person that RSVP’s will be entered into a drawing – similar to a door prize – for a chance to win one of two prizes: a $100 Crossroads Mall gift card or a Beecher’s Cheese Wheel valued at $100.

Students are encouraged to invite their friends and family to RSVP. All students that are mentioned in the RSVP form will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a 3D printer!

This Garden Party supports BYSO’s programs and student scholarships. Find out how you can help the Garden Party succeed.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! BYSO’s flute students, directed by Sandra Saathoff, prepared 3 traditional Irish tunes for today. Many just began playing the whistle too! Special thanks to Ron Haight for his audio-visual help, and to Kieran, Ming, Aki, Howard, and Sheryl for their Irish music expertise.
