Trombone and Tuba should transpose octaves and simplify parts when appropriate.

With only rehearsal, it is imperative that you come to rehearsal on May 5 with the music prepared!

Student Checklist

  • You WILL need to bring a stand for rehearsal. You will NOT need to bring a music stand to the performance.
  • Print your sheet music using the links above and bring with you to rehearsal.
  • There will be an opportunity for all performers to warm up (and for soloists to rehearse briefly with their accompanists) starting at 2:00. There will also be an area where you can leave cases and other items. It is recommended that you leave any valuables in the car or at home

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Can a student leave early/arrive late?
    In short, no. With only one rehearsal, students who participate in this outreach performance must attend the entirety of their assigned blocks of rehearsal on May 9. If there are extenuating circumstances, please email musicdirector@byso.org.
  • Can parents/families come to the concert?
    Yes! The concert is free and tickets are not required.
  • What do I wear?
    Dress for this concert is all black. Please follow BYSO guidelines regarding concert dress for Youth Symphony. And, bring your BYSO hoodie to wear if it’s cold!
