Concert Dress

Dress code for performances

BYSO tries to present a professional appearance at concerts, and expects all musicians to behave and dress appropriately.  Here are the guidelines for performance clothing:

 

Debut, Premiere, Sinfonia, Flutes & Percussion


Females: 

Black pants (or skirt to the mid-calf or longer); long-sleeved, tucked in WHITE blouse; black shoes & black socks or hose.

Males: 
Black pants; long-sleeved, tucked in white shirt; black shoes; black socks; and a black BOW tie.

 

Youth   


Females:

Black slacks (or skirt to the mid-calf or longer); tucked in, black long-sleeved blouse OR long sleeved dress (to mid-calf or longer); black hose & black shoes.  No bare shoulders, chest or arms.

Males: 
Traditional white tuxedo shirt; tucked into your black tuxedo slacks; black tuxedo jacket; black cummerbund; black bow-tie; black socks & black dress shoes.

 

 

Everyone

 

No athletic shoes, no white socks, no bare shoulders or midrifs
