Tuition Fees
Tuition and other fees for participation in BYSO
Tuition fees cover the cost of instruction, including the wages and expenses of the conductors and coaches and part of the expenses of providing facilities for rehearsals and performances.
The symphony year is now being billed on an annual basis, from September through May.
Tuition invoices will be sent to all registrants during the second month of the season, October. Payment will be due within 30 days of receipt of the invoice.
You can pay tuition fees using a credit card or PayPal account by clicking on this link ($10 service charge applies).
If tuition is not paid within 60 days, the musician will not be allowed to perform.

We can only operate if our bills are paid and cannot survive deficit spending.

Additional Fees
| Special Program Fee | $10 to support out-of-budget activities, assessed as needed |

Financial Aid
Limited financial aid is available on the basis of need, and is limited to tuition only. In no case can we grant 100% financial aid. All musicians must pay the audition fee and, if assessed, special program fees. Families requesting financial aid must complete a scholarship application available from the Executive Director who will submit your request to the governing board.
Students with unpaid accounts WILL NOT be allowed to continue to the next year.
Frances Walton Youth Music Scholarship
Thalia Allied Artists have announced the 14th year of the Frances Walton Youth Music Scholarship fund. This year, one student from each division will be awarded a partial scholarship from this fund based on artistic merit. The conductors of each division will choose the students who will receive these awards. A list of previous winners is on our Awards page.
