Nondiscrimination
BYSO welcomes children of all races, ages, ethnicities, religions, abilities, and financial circumstances. Our programs embrace diversity, reflecting the needs and composition of the communities we serve.
Funding
BYSO is funded through tuition, audition fees, donations, ticket sales, fundraising events, and government and corporate grants. Tuition fees cover the cost of instruction, while all other expenses are paid from other sources
Financial Aid
Limited financial aid is available on the basis of need, and is limited to tuition only. In no case can we grant 100% financial aid. All musicians must pay the audition fee and, if assessed, special program fees. Families requesting financial aid must complete a scholarship application available from the Executive Director who will submit your request to the governing board.
Our Committment to Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To ensure this notice is easy to find, it is available on our homepage and at every point where personal identification is requested.
The way we use the Information we collect
We use the information you provide exclusively for BYSO functions. We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive and for future contact with you. We do not share the information with outside parties.
Our Commitment To Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under the age of 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under the age of 13. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
