Auditions are required of all musicians, for entrance and placement in the appropriate BYSO orchestral division. Assignments are based upon your performance level, not your age.

Auditions are held by appointment only.

There is a $25 non-refundable fee for each audition (paid directly to BYSO at the time of the audition).  All orchestral instruments are welcome.

Our next auditions will be January 3, 2009.  Sign-ups for these auditions will be available here after Thanksgiving.

Our main season auditions are held in early September.  We hold additional auditions for new students in January and March.

If you disagree with your placement, you may re-audition with the consent of the conductor with whom you were originally placed, AND an additional audition fee will be required.
