BYSO welcomes children of all races, ages, ethnicities, religions, abilities, and financial circumstances. Our programs embrace diversity, reflecting the needs and composition of the communities we serve.

Funding

BYSO is funded through tuition, audition fees, donations, ticket sales, fundraising events, and government and corporate grants. Tuition fees cover the cost of instruction, while all other expenses are paid from other sources.

Financial Aid

Limited financial aid is available on the basis of need, and is limited to tuition only. In no case can we grant 100% financial aid. All musicians must pay the audition fee and, if assessed, special program fees. Families requesting financial aid must complete a scholarship application available from the Executive Director who will submit your request to the scholarship committee.

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To ensure this notice is easy to find, it is available on our homepage and at every point where personal identification is requested.

The way we use the Information we collect

We use the information you provide exclusively for BYSO functions. We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive and for future contact with you. We do not share the information with outside parties.  We never sell or loan our address list or our email lists with anyone or any other organization. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before making changes to any information.

Children's Privacy

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information on our website from those we know to be under the age of 13.  We exercise care in the use of photographs on our site, and will promptly remove any image in response to parental concerns.
